As the first blog for our new website, I hope that everybody enjoys these. Diabetes is considered to be the disease that may bankrupt the NHS. But from the individuals viewpoint , the latest data analysis by the National Diabetes Audit shows that people with diadetes are 65%more likely to have heart failure. They also risk other complications like needing amputation of foot or legand premature death. Preventing diabetes would reduce cases in the first place. Reducing cholesterol levels to recommended levels, reducing obesity, appropriate treatment and advice would all help to reduce this killer disease.
