Salt Intake Reduction
Cut down on Salt Too much salt can increase the risk of developing high blood pressure(hypertension). This can lead to coronary heart disease. -Reduce salt usage slowly and you won't notice the difference. -Check food labels and choose low salt products. -Add less salt when cooking -Avoid adding salt to food at the table. Try adding herbs and taste it first. -look out for the high salt content foods like bacon, cheese, ready meals and takeaways. -Have fruit and vegetables instead of salty snacks. Remember 5 a day. -Cooking sauces and some seasonings have high salt content. Avoid them -Add lemon juice instead of salt
