REDUCE THE RISK OF MOUTH CANCER Be a non-smoker Drink less alcohol Do not chew tobacco or betel nut Eat more fruit and vegetables See you Doctor or Dentist if an ulcer or mouth sore lasts more than 3 weeks if you have a red or white patch if you have pain in your mouth or ear for no reason any lump in the neck painful sore throat voice problem or difficulty with swallowing. Ulcers and lumps get better by themselves, but if they persist longer than 3 weeks you should see your doctor or dentist. Early detection of mouth cancer can lead to successful treatment.
